Warsaw University of Technology

The Warsaw University of Technology is the largest and oldest technical university in Poland. Established as an autonomous university on 15 November 1915, the Warsaw University of Technology has a long tradition which goes back to the beginning of the 19th century. For about 190 years it has been training successive generations of engineers, which has had a significant impact on the development of technical sciences.

Currently, the Warsaw University of Technology consists of 19 faculties and 32 fields of study. The university’s community includes 37 thousand students, about 2.2 thousand persons of academic staff including 270 professors and 400 teachers with a post-doctoral degree.

In the HabitARS project, the team from WUT is in charge of coordinating WP5, processing and analysis of airborne data (ALS, hyperspectral data, orthophotomaps), classification of data, collecting and processing of archival aerial data.
